Week 3 Kind of environment, situation, would make me to become a creative/inventive/innovative person

This is the week 3 of the trimester,we have been asking for yourself what kind of environment, situation etc., would make you to become a creative/inventive/innovative person.
I already view the articles on http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-20071644.

Actually i feel that  Being creative is sexy.Everybody is talking about it and everybody is doing it.
But we should not force ourself to make something that show creativity..
It does not work actually .We should always see outside the world and concern about  what happen outside the world.The issue of the world , the nature of the environment make a reason for me to think idea and to do something with it.

Here another a question that i think. my thought is what if this person did this same task every night? Would it still be perceived as creative, or is creativity only really meaningful when it is something new, refreshed or one-off?Actually in this question , i think that when 'creativity' was never thought to be something that a person owned, but instead was thought to be a force of nature that would grant you with this magical power and then leave again, taking this blessed gift of 'creativity' away again .

Besides that , we should carry on enjoying what we loves to do and create freely to gain more creativity idea. I am often under pressure to ask myself to imagine, creative, inspire, generate, invent or design all of the time. Good ideas are formed frequently, but if  i have a gap when i  feeling slightly devoid of creativity, i will tell myself ,  it's OK. Sometimes , when i am in stress and pressure emotion , I couldn’t get to it because my brain was stuck and all my assignment and work become more worst.So , i belive that do whatever it takes for you to blow off some steam and reclaim your ability to focus on the creative task at hand is the best ay to gain creativity to invent again.

Things done under stress are just not done as creative.

Creativity , Inventive and Innovative also found in conversation .As long as I pick up the phone, have a little chitchat with my friend, or even speak to the person in my local shop for five minutes, I get an idea. Often the best point for inspiration is to ask a complete stranger, that way i will find more of an objective, outside-the-box response to my question. Obviously another place to find conversation is online. The Internet is one of the biggest sources of inspiration and full with all sorts of visual content and open conversation. Thoughts, ideas, opinions are everywhere, and videos and stories that spark memories, joy, resentment, anger, emotions that lead creativity to invent something different . Debates and discussions are the heart of creating new thoughts, because more often than not, i will unexpectedly find myself disagreeing or believing in something i never knew existed before.I will also doing research by searching and investigating people idea and work to create more different idea .

“We need to work, get things to market, and learn faster.

Refer the picture at the left side, the house was so comfort and unique.I imagine that if it is my classroom or house , i think i will be more creative and innovative to lead a idea to invent something  different.

For me , the most important key to be more creative and innovative to invent something is challenge .The most useful key for innovation is by setting more challenges to the appropriate people. Without a challenge, there may be no drive to innovate,and not able to lead creativity to invent. No challenge can be greater nor more important than to be creative, to build creative and innovative industries, and to work together to shape creative communities.

NO CHALLENGE , NO CREATIVITY , NO INNOVATION , NO INVENTION

If i works in team, i will encourage my team members to take risks. The opposite of creativity is fear. The team won't be creative or innovative if we fear a backlash from failure. I will create an environment that is free from fear of failure,treat our team members failures as a learning tool, rather than a means for passing around blame.

Week 3 Process of Innovation and Invention

Communication today is improving and much more easier than the past.Communication technology has created an informed society. Electronic communication devices such as computers and cell phones have made information more accessible than ever. Communication technology can be found in classrooms, work environments and homes. With so much technology around,we can easily find yourself overwhelmed by what technology to purchase and how to keep your safety intact.


The improving of communications improving us to connect to each other anytime with the grow of the communication ., In fact with the hyper speed of communication that takes place in the society , we can know more information where news channels picked up their breaking stories from social media sites since the mainstream media had control by the government of each country.
Communication has brought us closer as a society, changed our marketplace, and even increased our efficiency in bringing individuals to justice.

The Process of Innovation and Invention

Invention and innovation have been mashed together so thoroughly that it is hard to tell the difference between them,yet they could not be more different.

Development of new customers value through solutions that meet new needs, inarticulate needs, or old customer and market needs in new ways.

We can also say that something new or different introduced. Innovation is introducing these ideas to the end-user. Innovation is channeling creativity so as to produce ideas and products that people can and wish to use .

a new, useful process, machine, improvement,etc., that did not exist previously and that is recognized as the product of some unique intuition or genius, as distinguished fromordinary mechanical skill or craftsmanship.

an act or instance of creating or producing by exercise of the imagination, especially in art, music, etc.

We can also say that Invention is transforming these new thoughts into tangible ideas.


For Examples iPod wasn't the first MP3 player and wasn't the first company to make thousands of songs immediately available to millions of users. Let me step back for a minutes , before the generation of iPod ,it was a Walkman that can put hundreds of songs. But , an Apple innovative was combined all of these elements  design, ergonomics and ease of use  in a single device, and then tied it directly into a platform that effortlessly kept that device updated with music.

Another examples is a most of the user of computer had replaced by a tablets today.It stated in the website of http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/tech/article/the-pc-is-dead-long-live-the-tablet/They predicted that tablets will replace in most of the companies in Year 2016.Tablet will becoming our primary devices.

In my opinions , tablets will not replace laptop but pc,they actually do different things . Games are a key element of being the single largest category of apps on tablets. They will siphon a large number of potential players away from next generation . Not necessarily a direct replacement, but it's certainly going to be a significant game platform but not everything. I think that we cannot use a tablets to do certain works since the software like Microsoft Word , Design software such as adobe illustrator , photoshop , 3D Studio Max , AutoCad and other design programs don’t work on a tablets.

I agreed with the new technologies had change our life better and even lets us able to connect with each other easily.The growing of communication reflects shifts in two long-term communication trends.

First, a shift in communications patterns from point-to-point, two-way conversations, to many-to-many, collaborative communications.

Second, a transition of control of the communications environment from Telcos to open Internet platform providers.

Week 2 :Words of Creativity

This is week 2 . This is the 1st class among every subject in the week . This is a very long class depends on media appreciation last trimester.i might be a tough and boring subject for me.

Anyway , i wish to concentrate in the class . This is my responsibility to be a FCM student.

This week , Mr . Yap brief deeply about CREATIVITY and show us many slide shows regarding it.

A "new" idea is a combination of old elements. Being able to devise new combinations depend on your ability to discern relationships between seemingly disparate items.

'Creativity is the juxtaposition of ideas which were previously thought to be unrelated.' It is your ability to combine ideas in a unique way or to make useful associations among ideas.

"There is virtually no problem you cannot solve, no goal you cannot achieve, no obstacle you cannot overcome if you know how to apply the creative powers of your mind, like a laser beam, to cut through every difficulty in your life and your work.

We was given a task to list down 5 WoRdS associated to 'Creativity'...

Standard idea-generation techniques concentrate on combining or adapting existing ideas. This can certainly generate results. But here, our focus is on equipping you with tools that help you leap onto a totally different plane. These approaches push your mind to forge new connections, think differently and consider new perspectives.
While these techniques are extremely effective, they will only succeed if they are backed by rich knowledge of the area you're working on. This means that if you are not prepared with adequate information about the issue, you are unlikely to come up with a great idea even by using the techniques listed here.
Incidentally, these techniques can be applied to spark creativity in group settings and brainstorming sessions as well.

Imagination

 

Art derives from the power of imagination, whereas evil derives from the imagination of power. Both have imagination at the center. In one direction, imagination enlightens, educates, and elevates the human spirit; in the other, it degrades, darkens, and deadens it.

Artists generally see imagination as the most important human faculty, and it is easy to see how they make that mistake. Not only would creative expression be impossible without imagination, but so too would vision and design, and therefore the construction of cities, bridges, and buildings.
Indeed, there could be no cultures without imagination. But when imagination is given priority over stillness of mind and fullness of heart, all kinds of darkness can and does ensue.

Imagination is a faculty of symbolic thought. It is the ability to picture things that do not exist, to generate images, indeed entire cultures, from mental materials. It’s not without reason that people speak of one of the greatest failings as being “the failure of imagination.”

Even so, the creative source of imagination, much less the infinite wellspring of insight, originate from beyond thought. Insight is not imagination, but rather the fountainhead and foundation for imagination.
 Illustration

 

Illustration art used to embellish, clarify, or decorate something. We can use our creativity to create from a simple black-and-white cartoon to a full-color billboard and beyond.We can also create the thing by photograph , painting , drawing or image . Illustration can provide a unique sensibility to certain object and design .

 Each illustrator brings a different perspective, vision and idea to play that, when married with great design, becomes an original art form. Illustration brings spontaneity,freshness and a unique point of view to the design of content. It helps to communicate both simple and complex messages while enhancing a design through the unique vision and skill of the selected illustrator.

In nowadays  society and in new generation , we are always use a software named adobe illustrator to create a design . Illustration normally use in advertising industry such as produce magazines , books , poster and more. Most of the illustration works is remain copyright to protect the values of the artwork.Today, illustrators often assume the role as consultants to art directors and clients in developing the concepts for communicating content, as well as executing the ideas.

Creative thinking can work wonders to human mind and activities. People have been looking out for various methods and measures to boost creativity. Experts believe that creative thinking is directly related to the energy level of human brain.Creativity was enhanced in the global processing conditions and reduced in the local processing conditions relative to the control group. For analytical thinking performance,local processing enhanced analytical performance, whereas global processing reduced it. The way we watch, touch, taste, listen, or smell affects our analytical thought, creativity, and categorization automatically, and without our conscious awareness.We need sense to create something creative. People are more likely to have a global processing style when they are feeling sad or thinking about distance future . They will create something based of their sense .If we are powerful enough , we will create a strong thing .We're exploring and learning with no limits of what is real and what is imagined . To me creativity time is play time with our sense .We are seeing the world from a different view . It's new, different, exciting.
Getting in touch with the senses provides a means of searching within for the real answers, being present, touching our own humanity and using this awareness to listen, learn and make better decisions that honour and support life.

Dream


Dreaming is the language of the mind during our nightly sojourns. It stands to simple reason that this time could be used wisely. Personal creativity is greatly increased by utilizing the information gleaned from the subconscious mind in dreams. It is also possible to learn to control your dreams, adding a whole new dimension to the sleeping experience.To successfully induce a dream, which relate to your creative product, it relies on motivation. The more motivated you are, your capacity to dream of helpful creative dream increases. And motivation relies on how strong our emotion is for that matter.Dreaming is a state where we can access our inner self and our subconscious mind, a place where it lodges our memory, knowledge, desire, emotion, personal views and our thoughts. Through the dreaming process, we could access this full resources to discover new combination, which we could not access easily in waking state. Intense dreams contain powerful resources for creativity. Because how we feel has a large effect on what we think. Knowledge and different kind of experience foster creativity. The more knowledge and experience we have, the more creative resources we have. Somehow, dreams are part of our life experience and an effect experienced in a dream is in no way inferior to one of like intensity experienced in waking life, due to the reason that dream is consider as part of our real psychic experiences.

 

 

 

Week 2 Respond and reflect to the Ken Robinson 2006 Ted Talk episode on creativity education and intelligence

Creativity should be treated the same in classrooms as literacy !!!!
 

This TED talk was not only educational, it was also entertaining. Sir Ken Robinson had a lot of really funny stories that made this talk that much more meaningful. 

This talk definitely allowed me to give more credence to his ideas of an creativity education revolution. I don't think school should kill creativity.But in the reality , The academic system we have now does kill creativity.

When in reality, people are creative in so many different ways. Traditional schooling methods usually target auditory, and visual learners. Therefore it is harder for students to find something they are passionate about if they do not learn through auditory or visual methods.Actually every subject , every course and every job also need creativity to create the system .Not only a designer , an artist but engineer , accountant , lawyer . Designer need creativity to create a object , environment . and the engineer , accountant ,lawyer and every job need creativity and idea to create such as the mathematical system , software system , formula , mechanical system and more.If a student is not taught to be creative we will not ever have new or even improved things in this world. This is especially important today because of the high need for engineers to be creative today. Examples of this could include: phones, refrigerators, higher quality bridges.

I totally agreed with what Mr Ken Robinson talk. A person with no creativity wouldn't answer the another answer and they will follow what the book write. I was really inspired by the story he told of the girl who achieved excellece when her talents were appreciated rather than discouraged. I think that with how strictly we have enforced standardized testing we struggle to find balance between working with the strengths of each child and preparing them for the exams.

 I believe that everyone does have their special talents and they shouldn't be "squandered", as Ken Robinson put it, they should be embraced. You always here the saying, "the starving artist", it is sad in this culture we put such an emphasis on developing other skills than creativity. Original work and ideas require creativity and are part of higher order thinking.

Inserting different learning styles and interests in the class activities can help engage students in the learning process.Teacher in the school need creativity to influence the students to hear. I remember when something was taught in a fun way I was more interested in it rather than just some boring lecture that turned into a useless test. 

Actually I am don’t know what will be in my future, but the reality is that even with a specific degree, you have the knowledge to choose how you wish to approach your dreams. I have a dream of my own , I wish to create a special stuff that be agree by everyone in the society.That why  , i need a creative education.
